Pursuing a Dream: Raymond M. Wong was mired in isolation and resentment until he returned to Hong Kong at the age of thirty-three, a place he hadn't seen since he was five. The journey gave him a new perspective on life, his culture, his family, his relationships with women, and his purpose.
He will share these insights at the Fallbrook Library. He will also discuss the writing process, how long it took him to achieve his goal of publishing his memoir, I'm Not Chinese: The Journey from Resentment to Reverence, and the importance of passion and perseverance.
Wong's book was named a Co-Winner in the "Memoir" category of the San Diego Book Awards competition. He has published stories in six Chicken Soup for the Soul books, and this inspirational presentation will encourage you to go after your dream. There will be a prize give-away at this event.
