Looking In A Mirror: Raymond M. Wong always seemed to be at odds with his mother. They were opposites in every way. She was an extrovert who loved being around people. He was an introvert who only felt safe in a world of books. She came from China and maintained her ties to her culture. He wanted to be an American. She yearned to be a grandmother. He did not want the responsibility of being a parent. It took a journey to Hong Kong, a city they had long ago abandoned, to bring these two together as mother and son.
